DMCA Takedown Process

CoNovel respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and will respond to valid takedown notices.

All content on CoNovel must be original or properly licensed. Users who post copyrighted content without authorization may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

If you believe content on CoNovel infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated DMCA agent:

Your notice must include the following information (17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)):

1. Your physical or electronic signature
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing (URL of the specific story or chapter)
4. Your contact information (email address, phone number, mailing address)
5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

We will review and respond to valid DMCA notices within 7 business days.

If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice:

Your counter-notice must include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature
2. Identification of the removed material and its location before removal
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
4. Your name, address, phone number, and consent to jurisdiction

We will forward your counter-notice to the original complainant. If they do not file a lawsuit within 10-14 business days, we may restore the content.
